Recent data indicates that a growing number of individuals are reporting to work under the influence of marijuana, possibly influenced by the increasing trend of marijuana legalization.

An examination of over six million urine tests conducted by Quest Diagnostics, the largest diagnostic lab network globally, revealed that in 2022, almost one in 20 workers tested positive for cannabis during routine drug screenings.

This figure sets a new record, surpassing the approximately three percent rate observed in 2018. Notably, this represents the highest rate observed in the 25 years since Quest began conducting these tests.
