30 Tons Of Ground Beef Recalled Over E. Coli Concerns

  • The U.S. Department of Agriculture issued a warning on Friday regarding the recall of approximately 58,000 pounds, or nearly 30 tons, of raw ground beef due to potential E. coli contamination.
  • The recall was initiated by American Foods Group, LLC, operating under the name Green Bay Dressed Beef, LLC. The affected ground beef products had been distributed to the states of Georgia, Michigan, and Ohio. The reason behind the recall is the potential contamination with Shiga toxin-producing E. coli.
  • These products were manufactured on August 14 and subsequently recalled on the following day.
