5.4 Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Tokyo

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 shook Tokyo and nearby regions on Thursday, causing minor damage and injuring several individuals, according to officials and media reports.

The epicenter of the quake was in Chiba prefecture, located to the southeast of Tokyo, as per the Japan Meteorological Agency.

There were no warnings issued for a tsunami. Japan’s Kyodo news agency reported that four people were injured, including a man who was hit by a falling ceiling light. Rail service was also disrupted, with some trains being canceled or delayed.
