Authorities say a suspect in the military base, in northern Virginia, just a short distance from the Capitol, ended at about 3 p.m.
No injuries have been reported.
In addition to agents from the FBI’s Washington Field office, law enforcement officials from the National Capital Response Squad and local police also responded to the incident.
