73% Say They’re Drowning In Inflation, 58% Blame Biden Spending

  • Amid rampant inflation, falling wages, high mortgage rates and negative Gross Domestic Product growth, Americans have concluded the nation is in a recession and the majority blame the Democrats, according to recent polls.
  • In a September Senate Opportunity Fund survey, 58% of Americans, including 52% of moderate voters, indicated they agreed with the statement, “Democrats’ runaway spending, punishing regulations and attack on American energy is hurting the economy and forcing the country into a recession”. The poll took place Sept. 12-15 and surveyed 1,600 general election voters nationally.
  • Scott Rasmussen’s Number of the Day survey results on Ballotpedia also found that 73% of Americans say that over the past year, their income has been falling behind inflation. The survey’s sample size was 1,200 registered voters, and it was conducted online by pollster Scott Rasmussen on Sept. 15-17. The margin of error for the full sample is +/- 2.8 percentage points.
