- Migration is now at a record high, the with U.S. Customs and Border Protection recording over 2.3 million migrant encounters in fiscal 2022.
- Texas is among the southern U.S. border states hit the hardest economically by the migration, have to pay for the costs associated with the arrival of the migrants.
- “Texas, we’re standing not idly by while the Biden administration refuses to enforce our immigration laws,” Abbott said.
