• “Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic,” Biden said in a Sept. 1, speech in which he also accused conservatives of promoting “authoritarian leaders” and fanning “the flames of political violence that are a threat … to the very soul of this country.”
