- New Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs’ first State of the State speech got off to a rocky start.
- Hobbs told state lawmakers Monday that she intends to work with both sides of the aisle while laying out her priorities for the coming year.
- But several of the most conservative members of Arizona’s House of Representatives walked out or turned their backs on the Democratic governor.
- When Hobbs reiterated her support for abortion access in the state, members of the Arizona Freedom Caucus chose to walk out of the chamber.
