- Texas authorities are mulling charges for an armed 46-year-old bystander who shot and killed a convicted criminal during an attempted robbery.
- 30-year-old robber Eric Eugene Robinson had previously served 6 years in prison for assault with a deadly weapon, and was killed by an unnamed 46-year-old armed bystander as he held up a Houston, Texas taqueria. The armed bystander has not been identified and is cooperating with authorities.
“In fear of his life and his friend’s life my client acted to protect everyone in the restaurant. In Texas, a shooting is justified in self-defense, defense of others and in defense of property,” said the shooter’s lawyer.
