Baltimore, Maryland, has joined the growing list of left-leaning American cities that are holding auto manufacturers responsible for the surge in “vehicular crime” plaguing the region.
On May 11, the city took legal action by filing a lawsuit against Kia and Hyundai, asserting that their vehicles are susceptible to break-ins by criminals.
As reported by WBALTV, Baltimore’s lawsuit alleges that the absence of “industry-standard vehicle immobilization technology” in Kia and Hyundai cars has contributed to a staggering 95% increase in car thefts within the city over the past year.
