- Failed Gubernatorial candidate Beto O’Rourke is still holding onto $100,000 in donations from disgraced Crypto king Sam Bankman-Fried after reporting that he had returned $1M in donations after the well-publicized downfall of FTX.
- “In a report last week, the campaign disclosed a $900,000 refund to Bankman-Fried on Nov. 4. The campaign said it is holding on to the other $100,000 pending the outcome of the investigation of Bankman-Fried, who has been charged with campaign finance violations and fraud related to his cryptocurrency firm, FTX,” reported the Free Beacon.
- A spokesman for O’Rourke didn’t respond to a comment request from the Free Beacon, who also disclosed another $100,000 in donations from FTX exec Nishad Singh.
