Biden Admin Turns Down Noem’s Request For Mt. Rushmore Fireworks — Again

  • Republican South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem received a letter Thursday from the National Park Service rejecting her request for Independence Day fireworks at Mount Rushmore.
  • The Daily Caller first obtained the letter, which was sent by Mount Rushmore National Memorial Superintendent Michelle Wheatley to Wanda Goodman, who works for the Governor at the South Dakota Department of Tourism.
  • In the letter, Wheatley mentions that local tribes view the fireworks as an “adverse effect” on their traditional cultural views.
