- After their first meeting Monday night in the restart process, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said there was a better feeling about cutting a deal with President Biden.
- “I think the tone tonight was better than any other night we’ve had discussions,” McCarthy said.
- But it was just a start as the talks are expected to ramp up with hopes of an agreement as soon as Friday.
