Blizzard Warning In L.A. County, First Since 1989

Residents affected by the blizzard warning have been asked not to leave homes

  • The intense winter storm traversing the Pacific Coast is forecast Friday to bring blizzard conditions and up to 7 feet of snow to the Los Angeles County mountains, east of the downtown.
  • In advance of the storm, the first blizzard warning for Los Angeles county since 1989 was released by the National Weather Service.
  • According to forecasters, the snow accumulation for the mountains could amount to as much as 8 feet by Saturday.
