Boston Marathon Monday Marks 10th Anniversary Of Terror Bombing On Race

  • Brothers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev on April 15, 2013 planted and detonated two homemade pressure cooker bombs that detonated near the 26.2-mile race’s finish line.
  • The domestic terror attack killed three spectators and injured hundreds of people.
  • The tragedy has been remembered during race weekend in Boston.  in events and stories, including several told by survivors, witnesses and first-responders.
  • “I was 200 feet away from the bombs when they went off,” said Ed Jacobs, of Brookline, who has worked the race for 52 year. “My wife was sitting in the bleachers across the street. And, you know, that’s something you just don’t forget.”
