Bud Light VP Behind Mulvany Collab On Leave Of Absence

  • The recent partnership between the American beer company brand Bud Light and transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney sparked immediate and very public backlash among some buyers and resulted in stock declines.
  • Alissa Heinerscheid, Bud Light’s vice president of marketing behind the campaign, or partnership, will reportedly be replaced by Todd Allen.
  • A spokesperson for Bud Light’s parent company, Anheuser-Busch InBev, on Saturday did not directly confirm the leave of absence to the Associated Press but said Allen as vice president of Bud Light will report directly to Benoit Garbe, U.S. chief marketing officer.
  • The campaign unofficially stated April, when Mulvaney, who has more than 10.8 million social media followers, posted a video on Instagram of her opening a special edition can of Bud Light, with her face on it with the hashtag #budlightpartner.
  • Anheuser-Busch InBev’s stock that trades in the United States is down 1.8% since Mulvaney’s April 1 video.
