Brazil To Reopen 2008 Fraud Case Against Santos

  • The New York Republican has admitted about exaggerating and lying about his resume, as he’s set this week to be seated Tuesday in Congress.
  • The fraud case against Santos had been closed after Brazilian authorities couldn’t find him, but they intend to reopen the case now that he’s very much in public, The New York Times reported Monday evening.
  • The charges are related  to an incident roughly 25 years ago, when Santos was 19, in which he allegedly used a stolen checkbook and false name to buy $700 worth of clothes at a store.
