New York Republican Rep. George Santos is expected to appear in Brooklyn federal court on Wednesday to face federal charges.
The nature of the charges is unclear because the indictment is sealed, but Santos has been under scrutiny for some of his fundraising practices during the 2022 campaign.
Reached by phone Tuesday, Santos said, “This is news to me.”
