- The Supreme Court on Monday decided to take up a case on the Biden administration’s student loan forgiveness plan after the Job Creators Network, a small business group, filed a lawsuit challenging President Biden’s executive order.
-
Justice Samuel Alito said the court will consider whether the Education Department’s forgiveness was “statutorily authorized and was adopted in a procedurally proper manner,” after the Job Creators Network argued the bailout constituted executive overreach.
- The court will hear arguments in the case in February 2023.
