California Lawmaker’s Pass Newsom-Supported Gun Control Amendment

- California lawmakers have passed a resolution in support of Governor Gavin Newsom’s proposed 28th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
- The amendment, as reported by Breitbart News, aims to impose stricter regulations on the Second Amendment. It includes provisions such as raising the minimum purchase age for all firearms to 21, implementing waiting periods for firearm purchases, banning firearms categorized as “assault weapons” by Democrats, and establishing universal background checks.
- It’s worth noting that California already has a comprehensive set of gun control measures, including the ones proposed in the amendment. In a previous report by Breitbart News, California was identified as having the most extensive gun control policies in the country. Additionally, in 2021, the state had the highest number of “active shooter incidents.”
