Cartels’ Smuggling Revenues Soar To $13B Under Biden

- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security reported that Mexican cartels will collect $13 billion in income from smuggling illegal immigrants this year, up from $500 million in 2018.
- Border Patrol has reported that its agents apprehended 951,568 illegal immigrants during President Trump’s final 19 months in office. That number soared to nearly 3.6 million illegals – up 377 percent – during President Biden’s first 19 months in office.
- The number of “gotaways” during Trump’s final year was 69,000; in Biden’s first year, that number rose 464 percent to nearly 390,000. It rose again in FY 2022 to 599,000.
