Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg’s husband, Chasten, came to the couple’s defense over criticism of the department chief’s prolonged birth absence during a critical time for the federal agency.

“It’s been 17 months,” Chasten wrote on Twitter. “You need new material. Go yell at an M&M.”
