George Wendt, best known for his role as Norm Peterson on the NBC sitcom “Cheers,” has died. He was 76 years old.
Wendt died “peacefully” in his sleep at home on Tuesday, according to a TMZ report.
“George was a doting family man, a well-loved friend and confidant to all of those lucky enough to have known him,” a representative for Wendt told The Hollywood Reporter. “He will be missed forever. The family has requested privacy during this time.”
