- Without warning, six Russian and two Chinese warplanes entered South Korea’s air defense identification zone, prompting the Korean military to respond by scrambling its jets.
- As a precaution, F-15K jets and an undisclosed number of aircraft were deployed by South Korea, according to officials.
- “Our military dispatched air force fighter jets ahead of the Chinese and Russian aircraft’s entry of the [air defense identification zone] to implement tactical measures in preparation for a potential contingency,” the Joint Chief of Staff stated.
