Christie: CPAC Ballroom ‘Half Full’ For Trump Speech

Former New Jersey GOP Gov. Chris Christie's on-again, off-again relationship with former President Trump kicked in when they each sought the 2016 Republican presidential nominations.

  • The Trump-Christie relationship more recently seems totally off, or over, with Christie just in the past few weeks saying on TV that Trump wouldn’t win the 2024 General Eletiom, then Trump attacking him on social media.
  • Trump gave the keynote speech Saturday evening at the close of the Conservative Political Action Conference.
  • “You saw the scenes at CPAC, that room was half-full,” Christie said on ABC’s “This Week.” “The reason I don’t think the rallies are going on … I don’t think the rallies would be nearly as big as they were before.”
