Christie was among more than a dozen candidates competing with Trump in 2016 for the GOP presidential nomination.
The Christie-Trump relationship has since been off and on.
“He wanted to keep these documents as a trophy. That’s what they were, more than anything,” Christie, and ABC News contributor and former Trump adviser, said on the network’s Sunday morning show “This Week.”
