- Consumer Reports – the nonprofit research, testing, and consumer advocacy organization – found that electric vehicles are less reliable than gas-powered vehicles.
- The organization, which included 24 brands in its survey, found that EVs recorded more problems in the engine, transmission, in-car electronics and elsewhere.
- Of the 11 EV models that Consumer Reports has data on, only four of them have average or better than average predicted reliability, according to the survey.
