Court Halts Mar-a-Lago Special Master Review In Blow To 45

A federal appeals court on Thursday evening ended an independent review of documents seized from former President Trump’s Florida estate.

  • The court’s decision removes an obstacle that the Justice Department said had delayed its criminal investigation into the retention of top-secret government information from Mar-a-Lago.
  • The decision by the three-judge panel is a win for federal prosecutors, clearing the way for them to use as part of their investigation all of the of documents seized during the FBI’s an Aug. 8 FBI search of Mar-a-Lago.
