Cubans Blast Associated Press For ‘Complicity’ With Regime

  • Cuban activists ripped the Associated Press for its coverage of protests this week challenging the communist regime.
  • Hundreds of Cubans marched this week to protest the island’s energy crisis, including regular blackouts often last 12 hours per day. The energy crisis was made worse this week because of Hurricane Ian and the regime’s slow response to the damage.
  • The Cuban marchers also were calling for freedom from the regime, but an activist said the AP suppressed the peoples’ “cries for freedom.”
