Delaware Bill To Drop Voting Age So Teens Can Pick School Board Members

The legislation, if passed, would change the minimum voting age to 16 for school board elections.

  • The House bill, if passed, would lower the voting age from 18 to 16 for voters when electing board of education member in the reorganized school district in which they live.
  • Other public school elections like referendums would still restrict voting to those 18 and older.
