A Jan. 6 cop and former liberal celebrity relished in a fantasy about dying in a shootout with federal agents while speaking with The Washington Post for a profile published Nov. 6.
Michael Fanone, a former CNN contributor, Washington, D.C., Metropolitan police officer, and something of a folk hero for liberals addicted to MSNBC, was assaulted at the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol Riot. He later testified before the January 6 select committee and called the rioters “terrorists.”
Liberals long heralded Fanone as a hero, a stalwart defender of Democracy, a Resistance célèbre. In reality, though, he was just a schmendrick used by Democrats as a political pawn.
