  • Nominating Donald Trump for the presidency in 2024 would hand control of Congress to Democrats, according to allies of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.
  • Never Back Down, a super PAC aligned with DeSantis, did some polling showing that Trump has been a drag on the ticket over the past three election cycles.
  • “The data suggest that if Trump were to become the 2024 nominee, he will likely cost the GOP control of the House and multiple winnable seats in the Senate,” said WPA pollster Chris Wilson.
