- DeSantis has joined fellow GOP Texas Gov. Gov. Greg Abbott in sending migrants having crossed the U.S.-Mexico border to other states to highlight what they consider President Biden’s failed immigration policies.
- Florida has set aside $12 million to relocate migrants from the state. DeSantis said Friday he would use “every penny” of the money “to protect.
- Money covers the cost of buses and will cover “likely more” flights, the governor also said.
- DeSantis has said he is sending the migrants to “sanctuary” jurisdictions, which includes states cities and towns that that have designated themselves immigrant friendly.
