- When Republicans and Republican-leaning independents were asked who they would prefer for the party’s 2024 nominee, DeSantis beat Trump by 20 points, 60 to 40.
- DeSantis also beat Trump among Republicans and Republican-leaning Independents who did not graduate college, 53.2 to 46.5, perhaps the key demographic of Trump’s “MAGA” base of support.
- The poll from WPA Intelligence — a conservative firm that has been used by top Republican U.S. Senators and top conservative organizations like the Family Research Council — also found in a recent survey that DeSantis was more popular among Trump’s base than Trump.
