DHS Cites Over 180 Vehicle Attacks On Officers During Trump’s Second Term

The Department of Homeland Security reported that there were more than 180 vehicle attacks on officers over the first year of President Trump’s second term in office.

There have been 182 vehicle attacks against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents since Jan. 21, 2025, according to DHS on Tuesday.

ICE officers have experienced 68 vehicular attacks against them from the start of Trump’s second term to Jan. 24, 2026, after only two occurred over the same time in the previous year.

CBP agents experienced 114 vehicular attacks against them, up from only 51 the prior year.

Last month, two illegal immigrants who are suspected Tren de Aragua gang associates “weaponized their vehicle against Border Patrol in Portland,” according to DHS. The Border Patrol agent shot them in self-defense, and the two illegal immigrants were hospitalized.
