Dozens Of Tornadoes Criss-Cross Midwest, Leaving Carnage, Death

  • The Midwest was hammered by roughly 43 tornadoes across six states, according to preliminary reports from the Storm Prediction Center.
  • As of Friday evening, three people were confirmed dead in Arkansas, bringing the death toll to four, while hundreds more were injured.
  • In Illinois, a tornado collapsed a theater during a heavy metal concert, killing one and hospitalizing 28 more.
  • The damage apparently isn’t done. The storm is expected to move east this weekend, with a tornado watch issued for parts of Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio.
