Eagles Knock Out 2 Niners QBs In Rout, Head To Super Bowl

The Philadelphia Eagles on their home defeated the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday by a score of 31-7 to win the NFC championship game and go to the Super Bowl.

  • The Eagles won the Super Bowl five years ago.
  • “Obviously this is something you dream about as a kid,” Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said after the win. “All these guys on the team have dreamt about this their entire lives, too. Just to be able to do this together with a bunch of men that love each other, that are connected to each other, that will do anything for each other is pretty sweet.”
  • San Francisco starting rookie quarterback Brock Purdy was force out of the out of the game with an elbow injury, cause when hit trying to throw.
  • Backup quarterback Josh Johnson was later knocked to the ground and sustained a concussion.
