Easter Sunday in LA Includes Drag March, Organizer expected 1,000-Plus

  • The Los Angeles LGBT Center will host the march starting at 11 a.m. local time, beginning in West Hollywood, which became what is considered the county’s first “gay municipality” after it officially became a city in 1984.
  • The group says the march, at least in part, is in response to over 400 anti-LGBTQ+ bills “on the books” already so far in 2023.
  • “This Easter, more than 1,000 Angelenos will gather in their Sunday Best for a strut down Santa Monica Blvd,” the group says on its website.
  • “We’ll gather in our Sunday Best to show the world what we’re made of – and that we’re not going back,” the group also said in a recent tweet.
