According to the lawyer representing Tanzanian fashion designer Asya Khamsin, former senior Department of Energy (DOE) official Sam Brinton was arrested this week for his alleged involvement in the theft of Khamsin’s baggage back in 2018.
Peter Hansen, the attorney based in Washington, D.C., stated that police obtained a search warrant for Brinton’s Maryland residence on Wednesday based on information provided by Khamsin.
The fashion designer claims that Brinton wore her custom-designed clothing, which was packed in the missing luggage that she reported at Ronald Reagan National Airport in 2018.
