FDA, CDC Flag Possible Link Between Updated Pfizer Shot And Stroke

- On Friday, the CDC and FDA said their surveillance system flagged a potential link between the Pfizer-BioNTech bivalent Covid-19 vaccine and strokes in recipients who are 65 and over.
- The CDC website stated the surveillance “raised a question of whether” there is an increase in stroke risk in the 21-day period post-vaccination versus 22 to 44 days.
- The Biden administration has meanwhile promoted the updated vaccine to older Americans.
