The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has been rocked by recent changes to several leadership roles while it has grappled with how to handle new vaccine guidance.
The agency has changed — five times this year — its director for The Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) and has seen another recent leadership change to its head of non-prescription drugs.
The FDA announced Wednesday that Tracy Beth Høeg will be the CDER’s acting director.
