Federal Judge Rebukes Biden’s Oil, Gas Moratorium

• A Biden executive order six days after taking office placing a moratorium on federal oil and gas leasing.
• Judge Terry Doughty issued a permanent injunction blocking the moratorium, saying Biden “lacked any authority” to issue the order.
• “Even the President cannot make significant changes to the (the relevant statutes) that Congress did not delegate,” the court wrote.
