Feds Reportedly Offer To Brief Congress Leaders On Biden, Trump Docs

GOP Rep. Mike Turner, who leads the House Intelligence Committee, said Sunday a briefing was offered, and sources have confirmed the matter but the Biden administration has not.

  • Turner told NBC’s “Meet the Press” the administration notified him that it would brief on the documents this week.
  • The classified documents on which the congressional leaders will be brief are those found at former President Donald Trump’s Florida residence as and President Biden’s Delaware home and former private office, people familiar with the matter said.
  • Three people familiar with the matter, and who spoke on condition of anonymity,  confirmed a congressional briefing was offered to the “Gang of Eight” — the Republican and Democratic leaders of the House and Senate and of both intelligence committees. The people to discuss intelligence matters.
  • However, any briefing is not expected to include direct access to the seized documents.
