- Fentanyl pills hidden in tamales and stashed in a cooler were intercepted at the Arizona-Mexico border by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
- CBP seized approximately 2,100 fentanyl pills contained in small bags and concealed in the tamales in the Wednesday bust.
- Between October 2021 and August 2022, CBP has seized more than 12,000 pounds of fentanyl at the southern border.
