Florida Mayors Let Biden Go To Voicemail

  • President Biden apparently placed numerous calls to Florida mayors and county chairs regarding Hurricane Ian, though almost of the calls went unanswered.
  • Biden was only able to speak with Fort Myers Mayor Kevin Anderson about aid for the elderly and families in mobile homes.
  • Other mayors across the state said they had not talked with the president, despite a White House statement that Biden had reached out to various mayors.
