- A former lawyer for Jacob Chansley, who has been called the “QAnon Shaman” for his memorable headdress during the Jan. 6 Capitol breach, said Wednesday that newly released footage on Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight” show could have helped his case.
- Albert Watkins, the former attorney, said to Carlson that he never saw newly released Jan. 6 footage that apparently depicted Chansley walking beside U.S. Capitol Police officers without issue, and at one point, officers even opening doors for him.
- Footage released on Carlson’s program earlier this week showed at least nine officers near Chansley who did not, according to the tapes, attempt to detain him or block him from entering certain areas.
