Gaetz Asks Pentagon Leaders Why Drag Queen Shows Are Still Happening On Military Bases

Republican Representative Matt Gaetz of Florida has called on Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Army General Mark Milley to explain why drag queen shows and story hours continue to take place on military bases, despite their previous testimony stating their non-support for such events.

In a letter addressed to Austin and Milley, Gaetz expressed his concerns regarding an upcoming “family-friendly” drag queen event scheduled for June 1 at Nellis Air Force Base.

Gaetz highlighted that the event was being advertised without any minimum age requirement, which he viewed as a direct attack on children.
