- Rick Ware Racing’s Cody Ware must now wear an electronic ankle monitor follow additional felony charges for an alleged April 3 assault.
- The NASCAR Cup Series driver was initially held April 10 on one a felony charge of “assault by strangulation — inflict serious injury”, and a misdemeanor charge of “assault on female” in connection with the alleged incident.
- Ware posted the $3,000 so keep himself out of jail. However, the 27-year-old reportedly now faces two additional charges following the completion of an investigation by the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.
- Ware turned himself in Friday to authorities. A new bond of $5,000 was issued, and Ware is now required to wear an electronic ankle monitor as a condition of his release.
