GOP Beats Dems On Top Two Voter Issues

  • Numerous recent polls reveal that as the midterms approach, crime and the economy are the top two most important issues to voters.
  • An NPR/Marist poll found that inflation is the top issue for voters and a Monmouth University poll found that 82 percent of Americans see inflation as an extremely or very important issue.
  • A survey by Rasmussen Reports found that 83 percent of voters see crime as a top issue and 62 percent think that crime in the U.S. is getting worse.
  • Months of polling data reveal that voters trust Republicans to handle these issues more than Democrats – in some surveys, by around a 20-point margin.
