• President Joe Biden met with General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party Xi Jinping on Monday in Bali, Indonesia, where the two leaders discussed North Korea, Taiwan, climate change, and food security, among other issues.
• Florida Representative Michael Waltz said, “I’m not sure what the President accomplished with this meeting other than to allow himself to be lectured by Communist talking points.”
• Waltz added, “Not only did he contradict our Pentagon by saying an invasion of Taiwan isn’t imminent but it also continues to amaze me that President Biden isn’t concerned about the origin of a virus that killed so many Americans and that a number of these global outbreaks have come from China.”
• Michigan Representative Lisa McClain echoed Waltz’s criticism and said, “Without discussing China’s direct role in the coronavirus pandemic, this meeting between Xi and Biden was a complete sham.”
